Waveless Water Bed Review
0 Comments Published by Max March 15th, 2007 in BED News, Bedroom, Interesting Beds.

I came across some interesting websites with water beds today. I remember my college roommate used to have a water bed. He had a special bed frame, water heater, and sometimes he had to fix leaks. In all, it was just a big mess but I did like the wavy feeling you get from a water bed.
In contrast to that cool wavy feeling, I guess a lot of todays water beds have waveless technology to get some of the waves out of water beds. Although I’ve never actually tried a “waveless” water bed, this might be some good technology since we do need to be able to sleep while our partners move around. Without the waveless technology, you might have hard time even balancing yourself in bed.
Here’s a short list of companies who have some of these cool “waveless” water beds:
- furnitureesuperstore.com - “There are basically two ways to construct a waveless waterbeds — “hydraulics” also known as “baffles” and “fiber fill”. In order to provide the most complete shopping experience possible, furnitureEsuperstore provides both of these types of construction — and as always our prices are lower than retail stores and other Web sites for comparable products.”
- abcwaterbed.com - “Firm yet Buoyant because of lumbar support. The Memory’s 98% waveless waterbed is so buoyant you typically won’t sink down as in the past. Entry and exit is easy. water beds motion typically stops within one second. Sleepers motions only effect each other a very minor amount. Lumbar support fiber layers to support sleepers midsection for a flatter sleeping position.”
- ebay has some deals on water beds
Well, if you don’t like water beds you can always go with a memory foam bed which is my personal choice. But you can check out some water pillows. Those are very comfortable without having to balance yourself in bed, just your head.

Check out this cool bed with a headboard that has a built-in TV and stereo. Very creative!
A headboard with a built in TV and stereo. How crazy is that? This photo came from an estate sale a couple of years ago. The bed was no longer there. Darn. I’d add a computer to mine and stay in bed all day.
