The Return of Ostermoor Bed

by brian yalung on Friday, July 25th, 2008

Beds come in different brands and design. We may not be familiar with all of them, considering that the growing number of bed and mattress manufacturers today are swelling. But while we are unfamiliar with the new breed of bed makers perhaps Ostermoor is a brand we may mistake as something new.

Ostermoor is said to be brand that was quite famous in the 1850s. Today, it is making a comeback and will emphasize on the same hand-craftsmanship of the original ensembles.

So for the people who may be familiar with this brand, watch out. For sure this brand will be something worth checking out as it a classic on its own.

The new Ostermoor will emphasize some of the same hand-craftsmanship of the original line, its producers say. It is positioned as the first American-made luxury innerspring mattress. Retails will range from $5,000 to $10,000.

Ostermoor’s revival is spearheaded by Bob Naboicheck, president of independent bedding producer Gold Bond, based in Hartford, Conn. Gold Bond acquired the Ostermoor name in 1988.
