Muji Unveils Eco-friendly Home Furnishings

by brian yalung on Saturday, March 14th, 2009

Muji of Japan is adopting a new campaign which they call Recycled, Redesigned which is something that will make any home the target for eco-friendly designs in the modern age. Throughout the rest of March, the retailer will be setting up a series of window displays, made from recycled cardboard, to show-off its new range.

Some of the products include hand-blown vases made from recycled glass; bedlinen, slippers and t-shirts crafted from reused yarn and paper files made from recycled Japanese milk cartons and paper cups. The spring season bedlinens are made from 100 per cent certified Fairtrade or organic cotton, woven from the excess yarn that is usually disposed of.
