The Flag Halyard Chair belongs to the circa 1950 and is a design product of Hans J. Wegner who admits inspiration from Gurus like Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Marcel Breuer. The chair’s surfaces are made of plaited flag halyard with the longhaired sheepskin softening the industrial sharpness of the steel, adding comfort. The shape of the chair’s seat was conceived during a family holiday in Århus, Denmark.
