Limit Live Plant Placements Outside your Home

by brian yalung on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

Many home owners would love to place a lot of plants around their home, inside and outside. The theory here is that with lots of plants and trees around, cooler homes with better air and ventilation can be expected. However, it can also mean inviting a lot of insects in the area such as flies and mosquitoes. And as we all know, these pests carry health risks in the form of illnesses such as dengue and malaria.

Now while this is not to discourage most people from placing plants as they wish, perhaps it would be best to put a limit and identify the places where they should be located. Overdoing it may just make our home prone to infestation and consider the fact that not all people are keen about using pesticide which can equally be harmful.

It would be best to place them outside of the homes such as the lawn and the backyard. As far as the inside of the house is concerned, small ones like cactuses or bonsai trees would be good. If you really want big ones, why not try the plastic plants if ambiance is really what you are looking for. But as far as natural plants are concerned, avoid putting the live ones inside you home for better guards against disease-carrying insects.
