Inspect Furniture Quality and Receive

by brian yalung on Friday, January 9th, 2009

One thing about buying new furniture, you better be sure that they come delivered in A1 condition. While that is usually the duty of furniture stores, to check the state of furniture lines before they are offered for sale, you have to take the initiative as well. You never know when defected furniture comes your way or perhaps something untoward occurs along the way when they are delivered to your footsteps.

There are warranties but why go to all the trouble if you get a defected piece of furniture from day 1? We can be trusting at times but we have to remember that when pay for a piece of furniture, it should be in mint condition. It takes only a couple of minutes to do so don’t rush signing on the receiving papers. It takes the load off being irritated due to incompetence which is the first thing that comes into mind.

“When people come into a showroom that has 12- or 14-foot-high ceilings, they see only how beautiful the furniture looks. Some don’t consider that their ceilings are only 9 or 10 feet high,” said Jeff Harris, Executive Vice President of Furnitureland South. “Sometimes, people don’t anticipate the size of their doors—it’s not just making sure the furniture fits the space, but ensuring that you can get it into the space. We’ve had customers who have had to take out doorframes and windows! But our drivers are always there to help.”
