The iconic Fastback design is influenced by the concepts of the Case Study House Program (1949). The project, which concentrated on the Los Angeles area and oversaw the design of 36 prototype homes, sought to make available plans for residences and furnishings that could be easily and inexpensively constructed during the postwar building boom. Crafted entirely of laminated hardwood, the Fastback is pegged and joined to form one solid unit with a perforated steel mattress support and brushed-steel hairpin legs. Available in four finishes; please call directly for assistance with ordering.
