Gravity-defying Lamps

GravityLight

Lamps are a great way to shed some light, especially at times of power failures. But the thing is that they do carry some dangers, burning down the house possibly if you may if mishandled.

But here is something safer. GravityLight offers a safer and cleaner LED lamp. The lamp only requires users to lift a 20-pound weight every 30 minutes. As the weight descends the attached tracks, it powers an internal dynamo which in turn lights the light.

The lamp is now reportedly on the large-manufacturing stage where each will reportedly cost about $5 each. The lamp should be a safer alternative for folks residing in regions lacking in energy distribution, or perhaps something handy to have along in case you are among the power-conscious consumers.
