Have you ever looked closely at some of the more beautiful Victorian homes that exist? What makes them so beautiful? It’s hard to tell, for everyone seems to be attracted to different things. Some are attracted to the house, others the grounds. Those who are attracted to the grounds of a Victorian house may find their eye being pulled towards the metal work in the garden and around the grounds. Many Victorian homes had a great deal of metal work strewn about, including metal statues and metal fences.

Their metal fences were a work of art themselves, with straight lines mixed with beautiful curved lines; they were copied around the world. There is a headboard that reminds many of a beautiful Victorian fence. The Kirkwell Headboard by Hillsdale Furniture is a unique metal headboard. This metal headboard features a long slope going from one strong post to the other. Both posts are topped with a unique knob design, as most Victorian fence posts are. In the middle of the headboard are vertical slats, each accentuated by a slight curve with a small curly-cue at the bottom of each curve.

This metal headboard is simple yet beautiful at the same time. It would work well in almost any bedroom, but may be the perfect headboard for a single woman, young student, or to use in a spare bedroom. And as it’s created by Hillsdale Furniture which means it is inexpensive and yet well made at the same time, a combination that is not always easy to find.
