Amby Baby Beds Recalled
Two infant deaths have forced the hand of Amby to issue a recall on these hammock like baby-beds. Apparently there is a suffocation risk solicited from the rocking motion which can cause the baby to turn over and suffocate on the fabrics or padding.
Safety advocates state that babies are safest in bassinets or cribs with a firm bottom and without extra fabric, padding, or any gaps that a baby could become trapped in. Amby says they will offer a free repair kit in January.
