
Using channels to reach the target market is what most home furnishing companies will always have to consider. By channels we mean the various stores and chained outlets to which are already familiar to which companies can ride and use for the meantime that they are trying to establish their names. Such is the point for consideration made by Better Homes using Wal-Mart as one of its primary sources of gathering customers to take notice of their home products today.
Magazine publisher Meredith Corp. (NYSE:MDP) said Tuesday it has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) Stores Inc. to sell a wide range of home products carrying the Better Homes and Gardens brand.
The products are expected to be available exclusively in Wal-Mart stores by fall 2008.
