Bunk Bed Manufacturer Fined
Recent accidents have shown that bunk beds are not always the safest bet for your kids and one should only but them from reputable manufacturers. An Australian company called Hercules Iron Pty Ltd and Tom Hatz were fined $10,000 after failing to comply with a court order which prohibited them supplying bunk bed.
“The company and Mr. Hatz were given every opportunity to get it right – this has been and will continue to be an expensive lesson for the company and Mr. Hatz,” he said.
“I should also sound a more general note of warning … the ACCC does not close the file once orders have been made by the court.”
