At Click 4 Beds we recently expanded into the contract bed market with our new range of Palatine Bed bases and mattresses. This gives us even more choice for our customers and at Click 4 Beds we’re always expanding our product range.
Palatine Beds are the first beds in our contract beds section, they offer excellent quality contract bases and contract mattresses. They have been manufacturing retail and contract beds for over 60 years, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern state of the art technology.
Contract beds can be found in all kinds of commerical environments including boarding schools, hotels and guest houses, student accommodation, and care homes.
They are much more durable and long lasting than consumer beds, which makes them ideal for commerical environments where they undergo extensive use. Contract bases and mattresses aren’t as pleasing on the eye as consumer ones, but are appropriate for their purpose.
All contract bed bases and contract mattresses have to be fully compliant with strict UK and EU fire legislations, the standard UK and EU fire regulations for beds and mattresses in the contract sector are of Medium Standard. Failure to use contract beds and mattresses can lead to prosecution.
They have to adhere to the minimum requirements of BS7177, which include the following tests:
- BS EN597-1 (Cigarette)
- BS EN597-2 (Match)
- CRIB 5 – BS6807
