Last week, designer Kenneth Cobonpue (37) a Filipino trained at the New York Pratt Institute, whose unconventional furniture designs made from natural fibres are in hot demand, was in Mumbai to participate in the first Tech-textile India-International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Non-wovens. The seven-time winner of the Hapan Good Design Award talks to Timesofindia.com about his inspirations and penchant for eye-catching designs made from Rattan and materials grown in his native place.
