According to health experts in Canada, bed bugs have become a major problem in cosmopolitan cities. This increase is attributed to the rise in international travel and the phase-out of harsh pesticides.
Reg Ayre from Toronto Public Health says:
“We’ve seen instances where they come back and in their luggage they’re carrying little parcels with them – you know – so that’s how it’s getting around.”
