I was trolling through OfficeMax the other day and found these alternative Lap Desks similar to the LapDog, LapDawg, Laptop Laidback, and Lap Tray.
These might be the solution to all your Lap computing problems, especially when your notebook heats up. (Like mine, is getting abused like crazy, it’s always so hot!)
Not too bad for spending around $15 to $30. (US Dollars that is for all international viewers
