Tanning Beds are being blamed for the rising cases of melanoma in teens and young adults. Dr. Marie-France Demierre of the Skin Oncology Program at Boston Medical Center, also believes this and will testify for the bill that proposes to make it illegal to use tanning beds by anyone younger than 16.

The bill has been filed by Sen. James E. Timilty (D-Walpole) who says: “it’s a medical fact that skin damage is not only cumulative, but the majority of damage occurs before you turn 18,”.
