No Action Yet on Simplicity 4-in-1 Convertible Bassinet Issue
Normally we would hear of immediate actions when it comes to dangerous home furnishings such as this bassinet from Sears. Apparently, there have been some hazard complaints that included a 10-week-old girl who had slipped out the side of the bassinet between a lower horizontal railing and the mattress, becoming trapped at chest level in the 4-inch gap. If she had slipped a little bit more then she would have died.
Apparently, the said complaint which was phoned in by the mother never got the action needed to address the issue. According to sources, it looks like the people who took down the complaint just took the details but failed to note the severity of the danger it brings.
For what it is worth, parents are being egged to be careful of this Simplicity 4-in-1 convertible bassinet. Avoid it or if you have one, address it to the makers immediately before something untoward happens.
