For people who don’t want to make use of the scandalous alarm clocks, here is one that uses a more subtle approach. The new alarm clock comes from Philips called the Philips Wake-up Light Alarm HF3490. Rather than wake you up and get you out on the wrong side of bed, it makes use of incremental increases of lighting at a time.
While the intent is much softer, you have to wonder if the heavy sleepers would want this kind of a clock. Light sleepers may perhaps benefit but as far as getting up on time, this clock may be lacking something if it relies solely on the incremental light increase.
It can be pre-ordered for $199.99 and suitable for places where lighting is not that great.
