Avatar, that 3D hit which has gotten a lot of people into the 3D craze has inspired some people to come up with their own designs, the latest of which comes from Fischer Thierry for this Avatar-inspired shower concept. The 5th year ISD design school student has come up with a shower concept that provides remnants of Pandora from the said sci-fi flick.

The ecological design features the warm water reserve near to the water outlet to reduce the lag during the water consumption and save water. Though it’s still a concept, this extraterrestrial shower will have many takers if it makes a leap from concept to real, but we would like it with a joint pedestal and mood lights and touchscreen controls will make it even more magical.

Avatar-Inspired Shower Concept

With the River Flowing System, you can now bathe in style and improve your in-home bathroom interior décor. The design is such that the showerhead is placed above a basin-esque bowl and the water flows down as a stream. Water pressure and temperature settings are controlled via a centralized knob and showerhead is held into place via magnets.

The concept is applied to three basins such as the wall basin for washing the head area, a platform basin for washing the upper body area, and a cabinet basin for washing the entire body. This design won at the Red Dot Design Concept Awards in 2009.
