It is mounted on a rail for moving back and forth over the counter and is all controlled by a camera. GE Reveals Furniture Line for Smaller Home Spaces

We are looking at an age where people are preferring to live in smaller homes mainly due to the high cost of owning a home. But while the spaces are cramped which push people towards turning smaller and compact appliances, General Electric unveils two new lines of appliance ranges that should fit in perfectly and carry that elegance that appliances are known to have.

Both GE Profile and Monogram lines also offer selections that are perfect for the empty-nester who is moving to a smaller home or condo. Both models provide effective, yet quiet cleaning power with a five-level wash system and hidden, integrated electronic.

Here are some of the stainless steel appliances you can expect, particularly for a compact but modern kitchen.

The GE stainless steel 24-inch electric range (JAP02SNSS) features a black smooth ceramic cooktop surface to make cleaning quick and easy. It also features a self-cleaning oven with a large ClearView window. The range is also available in a gas model (GAS02SENSS).
The tall, slim GE 11.6 cu. ft. full door bottom freezer is available in stainless steel (GBC12IAXRSS) and includes a 7.30 cu. ft. fresh food capacity including electronic sensors for temperature management.
You can still have an ENERGY STAR qualified dishwasher with the smaller GE Spacemaker 18-inch Built-in Dishwasher (GSM1860NSS). The full-length flat door fits nearly flush with cabinetry for a seamless look.
The GE 1.8 cu. ft. countertop microwave oven, with sensor cooking controls (JEB1860SMSS), automatically adjusts time and power for delicious cooking results.

When it comes to food preparation, we have yet to reach the point of automation. Though some commercial restaurants and food joints are welcoming the opportunity, the private sector may yet find a mechanical way of food preparations, similar to what we see in sci-fi and futuristic films.

But if this concept were to be a basis, perhaps one day we can see these contraptions making their way into the kitchen of our assumed modern homes. They are Ramen Making Robots said to be used for food preparations and cooking in Japan which could be the concept of kitchen chefs of the future.

Of course there are still a lot of fine-tuning needed, but at least now you know, there is a mechanical solution for food preparations that exist in the world today.

Home innovation ideas normally come from the futuristic films we see and we are slowly getting there. Anvil Cabine and Mill seem to have that in mind with these practically automated kitchen cabinets where most of the design ideas think for themselves.

Apparently, these cabinet doors don’t need hinges, but rise and fall vertically, like cabinets in a science fiction movie. All it takes from the user is a wave of the hand or a tap on the sensor, and the cabinet doors slide open and closed, hopefully with a cool-sounding whoosh sound.

Another feature is that some cabinets feature biometric scanners, so you can keep other people from stealing your secret ingredients. For example, if you don’t want your kids to raid your liquor cabinet, make it so only you can access it.

Apparently that is the purpose for this fruit checker device to make sure you get the fresh fruits and avoid eating ones that may turn your stomach around.

Based on previous technologies which measure, for example car emissions, the device measures the volatile gases emitted by the fruit and analyzes its makeup to determine the state of freshness.So far the device has only successfully been used to test the freshness of fruit, but researchers see possible future applications in testing meat as well.
