Yu-Ying Wu, a Taiwanese designer, creates a new Tofu Chair based on the traits of a real tofu. The Tofu chair turns into a super-comfy chair once your guest sits in it then turns into a block of tofu when not in use.

I see some great applications to this type of Tofu Chair designs, especially there’s also some “breathing” room for air to pass through. I would really like to get one, can I order it now please?

The “breathing chair” looks like a piece of white, square tofu. Wu said that the chair is made of high-density foam plastic that is 100 percent environmentally-friendly. There is a “trick” behind the design of various sizes of holes in the chair – based on professional calculation of the spatial structure, the tofu-shaped chair, coated with three layers of foamed plastic, can “automatically adjust” according to the weight and posture of the person sitting on it.

Make the “Super Cool Chair Tent” at home and watch your kids go gaga over it. It is constructed entirely out of fabric so it can be folded and stored away quite easily. (If you want to recycle — an old queen size sheet set will accommodate the entire project.)

You will need:

* 8 yards of woven fabric or one set of queen sheets (pillow cases included)
* Sewing machine
* Thread to match

* Pins
* Tape measure
* Various prints of scrap fabric for decoration
* (Not necessary but super handy: a rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat)

While it looks like a hanging rocking chair, the concept seems to also push it as being a hanging table which can hold your PC. Either that or the concept of this furniture is totally whacked out!

The price for this PRC is $4,200. Rocking chair or a desktop aid, the item seems to be geared more towards the modern homes who have lots of cash to spare.
