The Golden Gate Bridge Furniture Company’s mission is to capture the essence and spirit of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. The founder of the company got the idea when he used a 12-foot long, 1000 pound handrail that was originally a prt of the bridge to make a headboard. After that the idea was a success, the  Golden Gate Bridge Furniture Company started concentrating on this niche. Vintage suitcase is quite in vogue these days, unfortunately most of them are of the designer variety and can burn a hole in the pocket. When it comes to LEGO inspired furniture,we are complete  fanboys and girls. So imagine our excitement when we came across the “Legnoquadro” designed by Hangar Design Group for company Horm. The table may  look like  it has been made from LEGO Blocks for adults, but there is more to the design. Following  a philosophy of dematerialization, the table mimics the design of a  wooden puzzle and according to the designer is an “excavated core, a rhythmic cube built with same-sized, square-based pieces that differ in height.”

The Parlor, Bedroom, or Sitting table by Etsy user vintage2mod is a beautiful mesh of the old and new. Designer Marcel Wanders has embraced pink with much gusto in his most recent design project. The Pink Pool table may keep the boys away, but us girls can’t hardly wait to cue up. Another reason why this designer pool table is unique is because it has been completely upholstered in Alcantara, which is a new innovative material, that is known to be durable and eco-friendly. The pool table is part of the Can You Imagine project and is a collaboration between Maxxi Museum and Alcantara.

KAYIWA studio of Helsinki is the company behind the modular table, something made of birch plywood over the traditional solid wood. This means that this table offers better resistance to humidity and is quite easy to store when not in use. Coming in pastel colors, these are chairs that seem to point to people posing in crouching positions. With that in mind, they may not necessarily be ideal for the elderly considering they may encounter joint pains in the process.

Apparently they seem to cater to the Japanese lifestyle, paired with low-profile tables as well. However, they do come in an appealing design with matching soft cushions that should more than offer some comfort either for sitting down or perhaps eating too.

The buzz of the town is the upcoming Royal Wedding of Will and Kate and for the people who want to look for furnishings closely related to the whole event, here is one called the Illuminated Coffee Table. The table is made of stainless steel and is highlighted by a toughened glass top together with some neon lights that should make it something to give or have.

Though it wasn’t mentioned if the design for this Housemand Low Table are of eco-friendly origin, you have to agree that it does carry a different appeal. Rather than the usual four legged carved table legs, gnawed beaver branches were used to hold up the glass surface which makes it as unique as it comes.

The table should be great for indoor and outdoor use. Overall, it looks like someone lifted a square of space-time from a tranquil pond and delivered it to your living room. It would have been helpful if the branches used were classified as either discarded or not. Either way, its functionality is an obvious thing here.

Here is an innovative table you may want to get under your roof. The Northstar Table is actually the winner of the NASA Space Craft Contest together with Etsy, soliciting the imagination and creative nature of consumers that would be inspired by NASA’s Space Shuttle Program.

Apparently the Northstar Table got the grand prize. The table comes with a hidden compartment which can be opened by pressing one of the stars designed on its surface.
