Teaching Babies the ABC’s of Furniture Familiarity
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 31st, 2008 in BED FUN, BED Furniture, BED Home, BED Kids, BED News, Baby, Bed Designs.Turning to visual aids to help educate a child is one thing you will notice in any nursery. While we look at posters that make use of animals or objects that are easily associated to a certain letter, here is something that associates the alphabet with furniture images.
Ideally this may sound like a different way to teach children associating their ABC’s with the standard characters we know of today. But if it works, it can help a child easily distinguish the various furniture designs and images that they normally see in their homes from beds to sofas.

As you are well aware, we spend a lot of time looking for great nursery decor, especially when it comes to alphabet posters. I think that this one by Italian graphic designer Francesco Dondina makes an interesting addition. A father of two, Dondina is also a professor of visual communication at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico in Milan. At $13, this gem is quite a steal.

Nicole Kidman Looking for a New Mattress
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 18th, 2008 in BED Hollywood, BED Kids, BED News, Mattress.
Last week, Nicole Kidman gave birth to her biological daughter, Sunday Rose and hasn’t been seen since then. It wasn’t until July 16 that she was spotted at a mattress shop in Nashville apparently looking for new mattresses for her or her child. She was seen going in and out of the store with her husband Keith Urban.
Being the first biological child of Kidman, perhaps she is simply looking out for the welfare of her baby. And one good thing to do is to look for the best mattress in town where she and their baby can rest well. Besides, she has the money to buy one so for sure she will be open to the best bed mattress available in the market today.

To get quality sleep these days, you have to protect yourself from the bugs. Its not just about how these bed bugs can give you a rash. It is also about making sure that comfort as well.
Asthma is another issue that has to be resolved. For most people these days, the fabrics to which most mattresses and pillows are made from contribute towards how well anyone can sleep. Hence, getting these protectors courtesy of CleanBrands go way beyond avoiding the bed bugs. It is also about trying to sleep freely with health considerations in tow when bedtime comes.

Making Advanced Preparations for Nursery Provisions
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 15th, 2008 in BED Kids, Baby, Beddings, Cabinet, Crib, Kids Bedroom, Kids Furniture.
Newly weds and couple who are planning to raise a family do not have to wait until little tykes are expected to be on the way. Apparently, many people today are making advanced preparations, leaving provisions for nurseries to avoid the hassles of addressing them once the new member of the family is on the way.
To some, it would be a waste of time to plan ahead. But do remember, designing a nursery is also quite harassing if you are doing it within the months of expecting your first born.
Nurseries are not simple to conceptualize. Cribs and toys are not everything. Color themes and baby furniture as well as the usual baby cabinets are included and not to mention the issue of proper spacing. In all, it is a bit similar to organizing a standard room with the only thing to be inserted is the fact that infants would be the ones who would frequent the room.
“When we moved into our house, I knew exactly where I wanted the nursery,” Kaye Popofsky Kramer of Laurel Canyon says of her room with an alcove by the window — “perfect for a rocking chair.”
“It was never the guest room or a storage room,” she says. “I just wanted it waiting for a child.”
