Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Mattress

Now here is a mattress that is bound to be in demand soon. The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Mattress is no ordinary air mattress. The high and market point of this mattress is that of packing a 1 liter Nalgene bottle while providing much warmth. A definite soother as far as being able to provide comfort for the body, especially if you are around cold climate areas.
It is being rumored to be out in the market soon in four sizes.
Therm-a-Rest engineers developed an air-bladder technology — the “Triangular Core Matrix” — which is a welded-nylon grid of chambers that, according to Jacot, increases the number of individual air cells by 10 times when compared to a traditional air mattress.

Gold Thread Mattresses for Pets

When you are doing business, you have to get new ideas. Normally you would expect your business and development team to come up with one but don’t forget your customers who may want something custom-made not only for them but for you to consider as well.
Such was the idea that Magniflex Gold Pet Mattress got when a wealthy Russian client asked for a custom-made Gold Mattress for her Maltese. Gold Mattress sales have not exactly been comforting, perhaps due to its price ($24,000 for queen size and $30,000 for king size) and looking at other options just happened to fall on their lap.
The Magniflex Gold Pet Mattress has been added to their product line and are being offered between $1,000 to $3,000. They can be ordered directly at the Magniflex website.

Nicole Kidman Looking for a New Mattress
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 18th, 2008 in BED Hollywood, BED Kids, BED News, Mattress.
Last week, Nicole Kidman gave birth to her biological daughter, Sunday Rose and hasn’t been seen since then. It wasn’t until July 16 that she was spotted at a mattress shop in Nashville apparently looking for new mattresses for her or her child. She was seen going in and out of the store with her husband Keith Urban.
Being the first biological child of Kidman, perhaps she is simply looking out for the welfare of her baby. And one good thing to do is to look for the best mattress in town where she and their baby can rest well. Besides, she has the money to buy one so for sure she will be open to the best bed mattress available in the market today.

Why are the Japanese Fascinated with Shropshire Wool?
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 18th, 2008 in Bed Designs, Mattress.
The materials used in making a mattress can play an important role in providing comfort to the people who want to lay on them. As far as the Japanese folks are concerned, being a big fan of the Shropshire sheep will arouse the curiosity of people all over the world on why such a preference for these materials would be suitable and worthy for mattress buyers these days.
The soft and springy features provided by the Shropshire sheep wool is perhaps the answer to it all. Quality beds are sometimes gauged based on how much comfort they can give to us and for the Japanese, this has certainly caught their attention and apparently a guide on how to market quality beds and mattresses for people looking at quality sleep for themselves.
“We were delighted to host the television crew and to learn that wool from Shropshire sheep was so highly thought of in Japan,” said Mr Spencer.
“Although our main income comes from producing prime lambs for the UK market, the excellent fleece of the Shropshire sheep also plays an important part in the survival of lambs in the spring.
“New-born Shropshire lambs have plenty of wool cover, which is vital during the first few days of life when they need all the protection they can get.”

Five Star Mattresses for Reasonable Pricing
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 8th, 2008 in BED News, Home Designs, Mattress, Memory Foam, News.
In a world where finance and pricing are obviously two erratic words today, bed manufacturer Five Star Mattress has followed a different route, trying to become consumer-friendly and cutting down on its retail prices. Just when most companies today are trying desperately to determine how to offset raw materials and operation costs, here is a company that is going the opposite direction.
A professional business expert would call it suicide or perhaps a product of inferior quality. But on a business strategy aspect, it is a brilliant move to capture a majority of the bedding market. Surely it will garner a large chunk of the pie but hopefully, it will not sink its teeth in the overall production cost and provide profits.
“This is not a temporary rollback, but new, more competitive pricing that will rock the industry, providing higher margins for dealers than was ever thought possible,” she said. “We are making a big push to gain additional business. We are the only producer in the industry that is lowering prices.”

Understanding the Mattress Recycling Effort
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 2nd, 2008 in BED News, Mattress.
Where do old beds and mattresses end up? Well normally this would be the garbage dumpsites but then again that would just escalate the growing pain of our trash problems. But through the efforts and patience of concerned people in the world such as Tim Haggen, a researcher at the Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI) at the University of Minnesota, measures are being done to undertake this mattress problem.
Hagen is working on solving the mattress problem with an innovative and aggressive recycling program in Duluth, one of only two in the country where mattresses are taken apart and the components reused. Now in its fourth year, the program gets mattresses from all over the northern half of the state–by the truckloads.
NRRI funded a local effort to find markets for the materials that make up a mattress. The foam is easily sold to companies that make carpet underlayment. The wood frames are chipped up and used as a biomass fuel source. And the cotton is mixed with wood fibers for a local company that manufactures oil filters for diesel engines.
“The filter company tested the post-consumer cotton against using new cotton and there was absolutely no difference in performance,” says Hagen. “In the long run, this application saves raw materials costs and preserves valuable landfill space for future generations.”
The filter manufacturer uses about 50,000 pounds of cotton a year, and that’s about how much Goodwill Industries supplies it at the present time.
