The i-sleep may just be my new best friend. Designed by Ivonne Dippmann, the i-sleep is a pillow that gets inflated once attached to a laptop. Not only that but when the pillow gets inflated, one also gets to hear some relaxing music.

0 Comments Published by Tanya September 16th, 2008 in BED Home, Pillows and Cushions.Marsha Fottler from the Herald Tribune has written an extremely informative article on pillow cases and how they are a breeding ground for dust mites and allergens. She advices to wash pillow cases regularly and also recommends HotMedics DreamShield Ultra pillow collection which made of 300-thread-count cotton and filled with microfiber. You can check out the full article here and here are some tips from the writer:
– Avoid wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedroom, and fabric drapes, too.
– Keep upholstered furniture to a minimum in the bedroom.
– Vacuum regularly. Wear a mask and after the room is vacuumed, stay out of it for a half an hour.
– Replace wool, down or feather bedding with synthetics.
– Replace your bed pillows every couple years.
– Invest in allergen-impermeable covers for the mattress and bed pillows.
– Use a pillow protector under the pillowcase.

Rojo Throw Pillow
1 Comment Published by Tanya August 21st, 2008 in BED Home, Cushions, Pillows and Cushions. The Rojo-throw pillow reminds me of the Seventies as it has a very East Indian and Retro vibe to it. Available from KMP furniture, the pillow is retailing for $49.00 and is made out of a combination of100% cotton, polyester, rayon, viscose or nylon.
“The golds and oranges are offset with just a touch of magenta to draw the eye across the throw pillow. Great design concepts never go out of style and returns in the most unexpected ways. Add a disco ball to the room and you’ll be one hip cat.”
Leather Covers can Rekindle Worn Out Furniture

When it comes to leather, unless you are able to carefully maintain and take care of them, chances are they will wear out easily. We have seen most leather made furniture such as chairs, sofas and the usual couch at home and if we fail to address the proper way to clean them or care for them, they will soon loose their aura.
But thanks to innovations similar to seat covers, Cover my furniture now offers a great way to bring back the luster and add some ideas to present home furnishings as well. Leather covers can cover up the worn out home pieces and project a better image. Better yet, if you have the traditional cloth covers, you can also turn to these leather covers to change the style that they normally had.
Not a bad way to brighten up your home especially if you are thinking modern these days.
