MÅNSTAD Corner sofa-bed w storage

MANSTAD Corner sofa-bed has a contemporary design with a touch of simple and sleekness. It’s a Sofa, chaise and double bed in one. There is a lot of extra storage space in the end section. It’s perfect space for bed linens. The pull-out unit is covered in the same fabric as the sofa. It can be pulled out to make a generous chaise. May be completed with SUVERÄN mattress pad at the size of 55 1/8×78 3/4″.
Great product - but I’m extremely disapointed in IKEA, for advertising this unit and then unfortunately being unable to actually sell it. My wife and I have been tracking this on the IKEA website throughout March, and nobody actually has any for sale (online or at any store location).
I was just told over the phone that the product is in such limited supply, that no back orders are being taken and there is no estimated date of availability - mabye 6 months or more. I realize things can happen that are out of IKEA’s control, but this was most disapointing to me, as the unit really is well-designed and a good value.

I do not know where are you from. The sofa is available in Hungary. I love the shape, the colour and the functionality of it, but I fear a bit ‘couse there is no changable cover for it, no additional pillow cushion, etc.. It looks like the MÅNSTAD is an evolutionally dead product of IKEA
don’t know the reason, but it is a bit strange if we see the other products and the availability of the accessories for the other sofas. In april I will buy an IKEA sofa, but I still don’t know which is gonna be the winner: Manstad or Kramfors
Hi, sorry it took me so long to respond and thank you for the message. My wife and I finally settled on a futon model at IKEA which has proven to be adequate, comfortable, and has a storage box underneath.
We live in San Francisco, CA.

@Charlie; My wife and I just yesterday purchased the last one our local store (Frisco, TX) had in stock. The Ikea rep we spoke to informed us that they had just received a full shipment of them the previous day, and that as soon as they come in, most of them go right back out to fulfill orders so there’s virtually no in-store stock of them. I know that’s not likely to be of much help, since you’re probably not near that particular store, but just know that if you’re willing to travel a bit, there may be a store somewhere closer to you that’s still taking back orders on this item. Good luck!
P.S. If you do manage to track one down, bring a large vehicle (pickup or full-size SUV with back seat removed) or two, or rent a truck; it comes in several boxes that are quite bulky.

Thanks for your message. My wife and I ended up buying a HAVET futon unit from IKEA (metal frame and nice multi-layer mattress). It has a storage box underneath and seems to serve the purpose very well.
You need to put some kind of cloth cushion in where the metal frame pieces rest on each other - otherwise the bed make a lot of noise for an active couple!
