Copying the Westfield Bloom Kitchen
1 Comment Published by brian yalung August 22nd, 2008 in Home Designs, Kitchen. If there is one thing about going green as far as interior design in homes are concerned, it goes more than simply buying eco-friendly materials. Designing any place of your home would include making it safe and keeping it clean. There are a lot of people who have already taken the initiative and one of the notable green designs would have to be the interior design concept of the Westfield Bloom Kitchen designed by Shari Stein.
According to Stein, eco-friendly rooms tend to use fewer materials, and whatever is used is more environmentally sustainable. This is especially important since a lot of waste ends up in a landfill after a home or apartment is renovated, she said.
Green interior design can also produce health benefits, Stein said, adding that she researches manufacturers and tries to avoid carpeting, wallpaper and paint that contain or emit toxins.
She also tries to use materials that are produced closer to home. “If you’re getting an exotic wood from Africa, they would take more embodied energy to bring it here,” she said. “You want to find things that are local to the area.”

BottleStones offer Eco-Friendly Counter Tops

Just where do recycled bottles go after they have been collected? Perhaps many of us think that these bottles would just be cleaned and then reused again but for others, using recycled bottles can go as far as creating new furniture enhancers such as perhaps your counter top.
Such was the idea and concept that BottleStones does in providing greater counter top finished to which recycled bottles are among the materials used for making one. For most homes, nothing beats topping off their home or kitchen designs with the classy counter tops that make our homes look better and with greater finish.
BottleStone sits in the “mid-high range” on price — cheaper than real marble or granite, and similar to other man-made stone like Corian, but pricier than that laminate-and-pressed-wood stuff that you scorched with your iron in your first apartment.

Budget Home Decorating with EBay

For some people, turning to auction sites for some of their needs including that of home and bedroom needs may be a good point to consider. A lot of people have been addicted towards the EBay frenzy and while some may want brand new items, a lot would be surprised at the available items they can get out of the world’s famous and leading auction site.It is not really surprising to note that decorating a room or an apartment will need a loot of moolah. But the thing is, if you are wise and keep your options open, you may be surprised at the things you can get out of the online auctions site.A lot of them are spread all over the world. A person just has to study carefully the condition of the items that interest them. But from all indications, most of the items offered for sale are usually in A1 condition.

Quality B-Site Japanese Apartment Designs
0 Comments Published by brian yalung June 24th, 2007 in Bed Designs, Home Designs, Video, modern beds.Japan has been home to a lot of unique and convenient interior designs today. Many have used them as leverage in being able to imitate and make own designs catchy as well. With quality comes a price, but considering that people on the go will pay a hefty sum wherever they may be once permitted, this is one video that is worth checking out.
Besides, this B-Site apartment is a good alternative instead of paying for the high bills that hotels are charging for daily rate stays.

If you think your apartment complex is just awful wait till you hear about the Hilltop Apartments on Dayton Drive in New Jersey! The poor residents have been battling bed bugs for ages now and they come in all variety and sizes (yikes).
“They’re small like cockroach size …don’t know what they call it here,” said resident Pragnesh Patel.
”It’s come at the nighttime…take out the blood,” Pragnesh said.
Raphael Rios from Middlesex Management who looks after these apartments feels that the residents need to contribute more.
”They have to vacuum, they have to take everything off the walls … wash their clothes in hot water,” Raphael said.
Beds for New Love Birds
0 Comments Published by colbert May 21st, 2007 in BED Activities, BED Contemporary, BED FUN, BED Home, BED Sheets, Bedroom, Interesting Beds.Time and time again,
I would go to IKEA (website or actual store) just to project-manage a renovation of my imaginary apartment on my mind.
Came across this pretty dramatic bed set in red!
Rather prissy for a guy’s room; would be good for a new couple.

I can’t help but wonder; after the lovey-dovey phase passes, would they change to the blue one.

Nonetheless, still nice looking bed sets from IKEA.
