Chic Nursery Designs for Modern Babies and Kids
0 Comments Published by brian yalung August 14th, 2008 in BED Kids, Baby, Crib, Home Designs, Kids Bedroom, Kids Furniture. Some may call the new manner of designing nurseries as taking out the fantasy-riddled setting but it is also about applying practicality with style. Traditionally we see the usual cartoon-riddled design rooms but parents today go as far as looking forward such as redecoration once their little tykes start to come off age.

We can see modern enhancements that you may call a flexible and general design for a common room. Considering that the usual kid’s room today are chic and trendy, the need to redecorate or renovate for kids who are on their way to their teens saves a lot in cost.

These days, it is best to save money on unnecessary cost. If you can come up with great designs suitable for kids and teens, they why not?
“The room designs are more in the line of shabby chic,” said Bayer. “The pieces you choose do not have to match; they have to coordinate.”
Denim touches are a big trend for little boys’ rooms, along with charming (quietnoise) ceiling fans and sleigh cribs that turn into junior beds, Bayer said. In the girls’ rooms, you see chandeliers and pink-and-brown striped bedding accented with yellow.

I love the Teal World Duvet and Sham Set. Not only because of the design itself but also because it tries to inculcate a sense of travel to an impressionable young mind. All linens are crafted with soft 250-thread count and each set comes packaged in a reusable coordinating cloth bag, made from the same material as the enclosed beddings.
Duvet: L 86 x W 68 in.
Sham: L 20 x W 24 in. (w/ 2.0 in. flange)

The Return of Ostermoor Bed
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 25th, 2008 in BED Classic, BED Contemporary, Bed Designs.Beds come in different brands and design. We may not be familiar with all of them, considering that the growing number of bed and mattress manufacturers today are swelling. But while we are unfamiliar with the new breed of bed makers perhaps Ostermoor is a brand we may mistake as something new.
Ostermoor is said to be brand that was quite famous in the 1850s. Today, it is making a comeback and will emphasize on the same hand-craftsmanship of the original ensembles.
So for the people who may be familiar with this brand, watch out. For sure this brand will be something worth checking out as it a classic on its own.

The new Ostermoor will emphasize some of the same hand-craftsmanship of the original line, its producers say. It is positioned as the first American-made luxury innerspring mattress. Retails will range from $5,000 to $10,000.
Ostermoor’s revival is spearheaded by Bob Naboicheck, president of independent bedding producer Gold Bond, based in Hartford, Conn. Gold Bond acquired the Ostermoor name in 1988.

Five Star Mattresses for Reasonable Pricing
0 Comments Published by brian yalung July 8th, 2008 in BED News, Home Designs, Mattress, Memory Foam, News.
In a world where finance and pricing are obviously two erratic words today, bed manufacturer Five Star Mattress has followed a different route, trying to become consumer-friendly and cutting down on its retail prices. Just when most companies today are trying desperately to determine how to offset raw materials and operation costs, here is a company that is going the opposite direction.
A professional business expert would call it suicide or perhaps a product of inferior quality. But on a business strategy aspect, it is a brilliant move to capture a majority of the bedding market. Surely it will garner a large chunk of the pie but hopefully, it will not sink its teeth in the overall production cost and provide profits.
“This is not a temporary rollback, but new, more competitive pricing that will rock the industry, providing higher margins for dealers than was ever thought possible,” she said. “We are making a big push to gain additional business. We are the only producer in the industry that is lowering prices.”

Combining comfort with eco-friendliness is certainly one of the battle cries that EcoMemory Foam is thinking off when Anatomic Global Inc. was trying to develop a bed product to suit both worlds. Apparently, the quality of bedding today goes way beyond design and price. It also requires the touch of eco-friendliness and now, people can have the choice to own one in Las Vegas.

SOVA AB Fined for Misleading Bed Ad
1 Comment Published by brian yalung June 16th, 2008 in BED News, Bed Stores.
One thing you are bound to come across with would be the usual advertising campaigns in print, TV or even radio ads that will lure you into the den of most bed manufacturing company stores. While it is not a crime to use ads as a form of increasing rapport and sales, the manner of advertising such as the text and promotions will be in close eye by sensors to make sure people are not being ripped off by their money.
For the case of Sova AB, offering a money-back guarantee if it rains in Midsummer day. Now that is trying to push it a bit, using nature as a driving forces to boost sales. However, it is also something people are not to comfortable with and some have even found it misleading.
The Swedish Consumer Agency is demanding a 300,000 kronor ($49,474) fine from a Swedish bedding company whose advertising slogan promises “your money back if it rains on Midsummer Day”.
On close inspection, the ad actually only promises your money back if it rains in the Malmö area in southern Sweden. Furthermore, rain in itself isn’t sufficient, a downpour is necessary.
Misleading or not, you just have to consider all angles on the ad. In this case, it is a bad angle as far as the Swedish people in the area are concerned.

The Aireloom Mattress is Back!
0 Comments Published by brian yalung June 8th, 2008 in BED Classic, Bed Designs, Mattress, News.
The luxury in bedding is back. After a hiatus, the Aireloom is a luxury mattress carried by SlumberWorld is making a comeback to become one of the options that people are looking for today as far as putting an exclamation point towards being able to get that much overdue sleep that people need today.
If you talk about this mattress, it may be seen as a product line made for the selected. The prices may be steep but the quality is something to consider. For people who spend direly on other things such as luxury cars and expensive clothing, go back and evaluate how you sleep and where you should sleep. That way, you will understand why the Aireloom is an obvious brand for quality, handmade especially for you.
Buying a luxury mattress might be compared to buying a car, and calls for meticulous attention to detail because of the domino effect of defects.
“Mattresses are a blind item in that you really don’t know what’s inside, so you rely on a salesperson to help fit you with your needs,” Kluft said. “If they don’t believe in a product, it won’t get shown. They’re our toughest critics.”
