The last time you looked, your baby girl was four years old, running around and wearing your jewelry. Now, however, she’s 14 and demanding her own jewelry. The years when a young girl changes from being your baby to being a young woman in her own right are scary indeed, especially if you’re trying to redo her bedroom. Most girls are extremely opinionated and have the desire to have their room as perfect as they’ve always dreamed of having it, which means, for parents, a total nightmare. After all, you want something that is functional and affordable as well as beautiful. Enter daybeds.
Daybeds are functional for a teenager’s bedroom because you can not only use them as a couch but you can also purchase a pop up trundle unit that will allow your teen to have a friend or two over to spend the night without having to squish everyone together. The Carolina Daybed is attractive to many young girls because of its simple sweetness. It is a solid wood bed that can come finished in either white or a beautiful country pine finish. The arms and back have straight slats with a curved top, including the gentle curve in the back of the bed.
Created by Hillsdale Furniture, this wood daybed works beautifully as a first or a second bed for a teenager’s room. If they have a television in their room they can use it as a couch and as a bed for company, or as a couch and bed for themselves! Daybeds are a great option for any teenager’s bedroom and works well when they finally fly the coop too, as you can add a computer and table in their room and turn it into your very own private office!

These days, condominium living has been rampant for most and while we all want those big and bulky furniture to fit in smaller bedrooms and living rooms, we just have to face the fact we lack the space to accommodate them.
But home owners should not fret. There are people who have a good eye and make these sleek designed home furniture. With the proper measurements and design, there are furniture items anyone can fit into any space in their home.

Newly-certified Architect Eduardo Calma has always been consistent with his vision.
Contemporary in approach, he prefers to talk about space rather than objects. After all, with sleek finishes and clean lines, what else do you need?
His colors are non-colors—deep earthy tones from elegant wood veneers that stand out against whitewashed walls and highlight geometric shapes.

Things with an Asian flair have become extremely popular in today’s world. There are sushi bars in every city, Asian clothing is very popular, and now furniture that has an Asian flair to it has been being snapped up as quickly as it can be produced. The bad part about this is that it is extremely expensive to get many of these Asian pieces due to their popularity and the fact that many of them are created overseas and must be shipped here, adding significantly to the price tag.
Lifestyle Solutions Furniture knows how to make high quality wooden beds with unique touches. They have mastered not only the Asian flair, but many other popular styles as well. The Rialto Platform Bed by Lifestyle Solutions Furniture is a platform bed with the unique Asian style that everyone is clamoring for. Platform beds are very popular because they require only that you have a mattress, allowing you to save money by not purchasing a bedspring while giving you more support for your back at the same time. The Rialto Platform Bed is made with heavy construction and has a solid wood frame, guaranteeing that it will last for forever. The cherry finish with dark inlay and the gentle inward slope on both the headboard and footboard give it the unique Asian look, and the bed has center support legs to ensure that it will be able to support far more than anything you will be able to put on it.
Mableton Bed - Hillsdale Furniture
1 Comment Published by HomeAndBedroom June 23rd, 2008 in BED Furniture, BED Home, Bed Designs, Bedroom. The movie Sex and the City recently came out and millions of people traveled to the theater to see it. What makes these women so appealing? Is it their inner strength, or is it the fact that they are willing to talk about intimate relations much in the way that a man would? Every Sex and the City fan seems to have their own reason for loving the show, and none of these reasons are the same. One thing is for sure, however, and that is that many women wish that they could emulate the women. They love their style and their class and want to look like them and decorate their home the way that they do.
Decorating your home to show your sexuality can be expensive, especially if you go through some of the designer furniture makers. Fortunately there are inexpensive bedroom sets that you can purchase that will last for a long time and will still allow you the ability to be able to show your sexuality. The Mableton Bed by the Hillsdale Group is a bed that simply oozes feminine charm. This bed is finished in the popular antique pewter color and has a tiered arching silhouette with a curved spoke design in both the headboard and the footboard. The timeless metal bed shows strength as well as femininity, and one can easily imagine reclining in the bed wearing a silk negligee in order to taunt your partner mercilessly.

There are a lot of us who are suckers for gadgets especially when we are in our bedrooms and together with the usual LCD TV and home theater sound system setup, this multimedia bed is sure to be the one for all the techie freaks out there.

The From Bed with Love bed design is sure to capture the attention of most design enthusiasts who also look for something different as far as convenient bedding is concerned and apparently, this is what this bed design aims to provide.
The young French designer has further promised a “nice and cool awakening” courtesy of its special luminotherapic (blah blah blah) headboard lighting and a discreet silent alarm clock a.k.a. sound canon system. The latter has the power to rouse you out of bed without disturbing your other half from his or her sweet dreams.

One thing you have to consider is the fact that lucky people such as Katie Price and Peter Andre can afford to give their kids the type of bedroom design and living that is fit for royalty. Such is an automatic practice for most people today when it comes to giving only the best for your kids.
Both have commissioned baby boutique Petit Tresnor to come up with a unique and speculative designs for their three kids. They want unique designs for the nurseries for their kids. It will indeed cost but rest assured that they have stressed already that the “Sky is the Limit!”
The couple have reportedly approached baby boutique Petit Tresnor about creating bespoke bedrooms for their three children.
Earlier in the month, the couple revealed they were considering the move with the hope of finding better medical treatment for oldest son Harvey’s hormonal condition and even though they’ve yet to finalise their plans or find a home, they’re said to have approached Petit Tresnor about speculative designs.

A Bedroom that is Ideal for Sleep
0 Comments Published by brian yalung April 27th, 2008 in BED Activities, Beddings, Bedroom.
We all have different ideas on how we want our bedrooms to look like. Some love the bright colors that comprise a great and worthy room to be in. However, do remember, you are looking for your bed inside to sleep and not to gloat. Beds are meant for sleeping and not as model designs to which most of us want a great way to show off.
While many people want their bedrooms to be unique, let us face it; we need ideal bedrooms to sleep in and nothing else. If we are not comfortable with the right ambiance, our creative minds can always push us to re-design the interiors to suit our personal taste and needs.
Bedrooms can easily be revamped whenever you feel like it by changing the bed linen and curtains. Again, don’t skimp on the luxury and choose lavish fabrics and add lots of cushions.
Lavender is well-known for its sleep- aiding qualities so if you have trouble sleeping, try introducing a lavender scent through oils, incense, candles or even the real thing.
