Here’s a cool device you can hack out of your IKEA furniture parts.

“Ikea hacking” seems to be an emergent meme these days. Etsy’s The Storque did a piece on it recently, linking to last week’s New York Times article. And it came up at last night’s Dorkbot DC AfterDork, in this case, the idea of using Ikea fixtures and enclosures as handy and handsome electronics project boxes. Above is a laptop stand, made from two Ikea “slinga” brackets. It’s one of the “hacks” that can be found on the Ikea Hacker blog.

Since there are so many bed and furniture stores, it’d be nice to have them in a categorized fashion.  So we started a Bed and  Furniture Store Link List on our new bed wiki.

Well, that’s the only thing I could think of that might help all you bed and furniture sellers.  At first we were going to open a marketplace for bedding stuff but it seems like we just don’t want to get too complicated so this might be a very good way.
