Some months ago, we have seen some wacky car-inspired furniture creations and today we find a new one, this time taken from Jaguars. But unlike the beds and desks we have seen, this is an uncanny bookcase which should be great for the bookworms who are car lovers as well.

The Vintage Jaguar Bookcase was designed by Dutch design studio Denieuwegeneratie which impressively shows how to defy gravity. It can be rested on a wall and gets its balance from the trunk which serves as a lower cabinet. Engine reportedly was removed to lessen the weight and to offer more space for the many books people may have.

Here is another one of those dual functioning home pieces. This is the Motion Bookshelf which can at the same time be used as well as a rocking chair of sorts. The bookshelf should be perfect for the bookworms or people who want to spend a large part of their time reading to relax.

The bookcase comes with slanted dividers which makes the whole thing a lot more odd and interesting and can even be made into a room divider due to its light weight. With all the earthquakes being reported here and there, here is a design idea that seems to be inspired by it. Not that we love to hear about this hard to foresee disaster, the Tectonic Bookcase from Tembolat Gugkeav provides an odd but useful way to put your books and other stuff in the right order.

Though it renders a far from stable looking piece, it is certainly something that it. The design of the bookcase also makes it ideal for the clutter-loving people only that it does offer a better way of inspiring people to be more organized whenever they hit their room.

Designed by Francesco Esposito and Marianna Contaldo of Esprimo Design, the  transformable modular bookshelf is all about geometry and flexibility. For the collectors of retro game designs, here is a bookcase that was designed from that popular arcade game character, Pac-Man. It obviously comes in yellow design and has been proportioned properly to hold various stuff like books and CDs.

The bedface is our unique Bookcase application. The hardware selected was a cast iron pull named “Rocky Mountain”. Perfect.
Lots of lights. Even in the closets on each side. The mattress is a conventional Back Supporter from Spring Air. The mechanism used here is the 2000 from Instant Bedroom with a wood slat system from France.
