We here at Bedzine always appreciate well designed household objects and the cradle-style Rocking Chair by Richard Clarkson also deserves a mention. A good circular saw

Drop clothes, a couple chairs or stools, and a place where you can get sawdust all over everywhere

A vacuum for cleaning up sawdust

The Segmented Chair by Revol Design is not exactly DIY however maybe one can attempt a similar style at home by using discarded cushions. Revol Design has made the chair by using 17 extra soft foam cushions upholstered in red fleece. The segments have been separated by using two spines covered in black fleece.
