Mercedes Benz is a familiar name in the car industry, a luxury vehicle that is sure to be limited to the upper class. But in the world of business, there is no telling when companies would venture out towards other niches and it looks like Mercedes Benz is dipping its hands in the furniture biz.

Called as the Mercedes Benz Style furniture collection, the new line will hit furniture stores and showrooms by October of this year. The first set will include a sofa, a chaise lounge, sideboard, dining room tables and chairs.

It will also have a shelf unit with an integrated home theatre system, bed and a chest of drawers. The whole furniture showcase is a result of Mercedes Benz’ collaboration with the Formitalia Luxury Group where most of the pieces carry a familiar automobile identity and of course the familiar Mercedes Benz Style logo.
