Markus Johansson from the School of Design and crafts College of Design at the University of Gothenburg is the brains behind the unique looking lamp, something that should add flare and class for homes, contemporary to modern.

The Octopus Lamp is made of Corian and projects a weightless make thanks to the tentacle legs that seem to be tiptoeing. Place it by the bedside table or perhaps a coffee table, this is one lamp that should appeal to people who want to improve room atmosphere and ambiance.

“I cut out a bunch of swallows from contact paper (if you don’t know, it’s like a big roll of plastic sheet that’s sticky on one side – it’s usually used to line drawers). I cut it to the size of regular paper so that I could put it in my printer and just print the bird shapes onto it. Then stuck them all on”
