Showcased during the Hong Kong Electric Fair 2009, the electric fireplace delivers the sound of burning firewood, with the help of a built-in speaker in the back side.

That’s really cool to heat things up for a romantic evening, but it could have been great it offered support for the iPod or other audio players. Personally, I would love to go for the CalSpas FRP4300 fireplace that features a built-in iPod station and speakers. There is no word on pricing for the Lian electric fireplace, and the TV-like design looks kinda boring.

One part of the home that is bound to be busy would be the home heating and the ambiance-setting fireplace. Normally within a year, the fireplace is the last thing you would think of cleaning. So imagine for the past 11 months how your chimney would be open to all sorts of debris and possible clogs.
