Aston Martin seems to be dipping its hand into the furniture binge, reportedly unveiling a new line of furniture solutions that promise to turn an office workspace into something irresistible and similar to that of the famed car.

The furniture line carries the same design and lines of the said furniture collection, made from carbon fiber and/or sanded aluminum which will be distributed by the Formitalia Luxury Group. The modern looking and neatly designed furniture line should be a great add to the people who want better working spaces and avid car fanatics as well.

Though the Domino Collection seems to be fit for outdoor use, they were actually intended for use in indoors as dining tables among others. Calvin Klein, more familiarly known for its clothing line has announced that it will launch its own line of furniture, a move that is seen to help the company branch out on other fields outside the fasionable clothing and pants line.

Calvin Klein will introduce two designer furniture lines this spring ‘Calvin Klein’ and ‘The Curator collection by Calvin Klein Home’. “Strategically, the addition of furniture is very significant for us as it further extends the Calvin Klein Home lifestyle product offering,” said Tom Murry, Calvin Klein’s president & chief executive officer.

The Calvin Klein furniture collection will be sold exclusively at Macy’s as of January, and consists of three groups – City, Weekend and Destination – with each group having a specific wood finish of walnut, whitewash and teak, respectively.

Furniture Sharehouse immediately became an important partner in the flood relief efforts in the hard-hit Sound Shore area by opening a temporary furniture collection and distribution center in Mamaroneck.

In addition, Furniture Sharehouse ran a special Mother’s Day fundraising drive called “Mattresses for Moms” to raise money to purchase bedding for flood families, because the supply of used but usable bedding was not nearly sufficient to meet those needs. More than $15,000 was collected in a little over a week, with special participation by the Hommocks Middle School Student Council, which raised over $1,200 on its own. The proceeds enabled more than 90 brand-new mattresses to be distributed to flood families.
