Swedish bed manufacturer Hastens offers a cool looking bed design, a pixilated masterpiece that should capture the interest of people seeking uniquely designed home pieces. Designed by Cristian Zuzunaga, the company has teamed up with design magazine Wallpaper to produce these limited edition Hastens luxury beds.

The bed design combines originality and taste with rainbow pixels together with natural wool, linen, horsehair, cotton and Swedish pine. These pixilated beds are set to be made available by the end of the year and will retail for about $58,430.

Royalty will always come with a price and for $18,000, you can bet this bed is not for the financially disabled. Hastens offers this “Royal Bed” in celebration of the marriage of the Crown Princess Victoria to Daniel Westling on June 19.

The bed features an all-natural mattress and features bridal colors in white with accents in gold. Each bed corner is adorned with brushed brass and detachable. The bed will be in limited quantities and will be offered for sale by the end of this month through Hastens stores. Now who would pay $18,000 for a lush bed like this?

Tom Cruise apparently spent about $50,000 on his new Vividus bed from Hastens.

Check out some of the the specs of this bed:

• The side stitching of the mattress increases stability.
• The horsehair in the Vividus is hand flailed. It makes sure that the bed is going to maintain its comfort and shape for a long time.
• The mattress is built up by layers of horsehair and cotton and wool. It is sewn together to keep the shape for many years to come.

I don’t know if that sounds like it’s worth $50,000 but if Tom Cruise uses it, it must be pretty good.
