What is it about life in the country that makes it so…simple? People who live day to day in the city see the country as an escape from their hectic lifestyle, and many pay thousands of dollars to spend a weekend in a country cabin in a small town in Vermont or Maine. Why do you have to leave that vacation feeling at that quaint little cabin? Why not design your bedroom with bedroom furniture that reminds you of the place where you long to be?
The Mountain Lodge Platform Bed is the bed to look at if you long to be in a small cabin somewhere where life is simpler. This bed is created using particle board, which means that it will survive almost anything, and it is finished with a dark ebony color, which means that it will match any décor. You can pair it with a headboard for a homey look or leave the headboard off and just enjoy having a simple, country looking platform bed. Why leave your vacation with the locals? Bring a piece of it home and transform your bedroom from just being a place to sleep to being a tranquility of peace thanks to South Shore Furniture.

The Twilight Bedding set has a beautiful pattern of colors that goes from dark to light brown, sprinkled with silhouette patterns on the cover. Splashed with sky blue and ivory, the colors harmonize between each and another creating a calming effect of nature. The sheets can be washed by machines but the comforter must be dry clean.

Chic, modern and understated are some of the words that pop up when I look at the Ludlow Leather Platform Bed by Modloft. The tufted leatherette headboard stands almost six feet tall and the solid pine-slat mattress base strives to be solid and durable. The platform bed is available in white leatherette only.

Critically acclaimed designer Jasper Morrison has designed the Sleeper Bed and we can’t help but dig the simple lines. Made from steel , Jasper has also used fir-wood frame and slats in beech wood. The headboard has been upholstered in multi-density polyurethane. So what so you think? Over-rated or just right?

Marie Upholstered Bed
2 Comments Published by colbert April 25th, 2008 in BED Contemporary, BED FUN, BED Frame. The Marie bed was designed with a warm and welcoming feel. The gentle curves and mild styling made the Marie Bed special. The designs are crafted on maple and poplar, which are the materials for the bed. The bed is fully upholstered with nailhead trim on the footboard and headboard. The bun feet at the bottom were finished in dark walnut stain so that it’ll coordinates with the colors of the bed. The wide rails covered up the box spring so there’s a “no need” for bed skirt.

Bedrooms Not Used Primarily for Sleeping
1 Comment Published by brian yalung April 24th, 2008 in BED Activities, BED News.
As far as bedrooms are concerned, each time we hear of them, it should normally point towards to rest and sleep. Apparently this is not being the case based on a survey. Bedrooms are associated as well with sex, watching television and reading. Work is likewise inserted in the fray and it makes you wonder where are rest and sleep inside all of these?
Based on a survey, it seems apparent that most people have other use for bedrooms today. There are a lot of factors to consider. Apparently we all lack the proper knowledge to understand what it really is.
A national survey of home life by Ikea found that besides sleeping, the most popular activities in bed are watching TV, having sex and reading. But almost half of Americans (44 percent) said they spend more time working than sleeping on their beds, and more men than women are likely to work while in bed.
The bed is also not a spot for catching up: More than three times as many people - 30 percent - watch TV in bed, rather than talk to their significant other (9 percent).

Offices in large cities these days tend toward design schemes that are simple yet striking. They like straight lines and dark, deep colors. If you like the look of offices with that modern touch, then the Barbados Daybed is the perfect bed for you. This bed is unlike any other daybed that the Lifestyle Solutions Furniture company makes.
Known for simple and sleek designs, the Lifestyle Solutions Furniture company is always the first place to look when you are searching for a solid and clean design. The Barbados Daybed, however, goes above and beyond anything that they’ve made before. This bed, unlike most daybeds, has no back. When you are sitting and relaxing on a daybed, the back often becomes a problem, especially if you do not have hundreds of pillows. This bed, however, allows you to push it directly up against the wall for support, or it can be used to give more of a duvet feel. If you choose to add the mattress and bolster pillows, you will have a beautiful, modern daybed that will work easily in any bedroom, living room, or even in an office, matching your other décor perfectly.
