The software is courtesy of a company called Home Automated Living and the product is named HAL. All the homeowners need to do is say something like “Open music, open Led Zeppelin or play Black Dog” into the computer microphone or house telephone, and the music system will play the selected song from a large collection. Moreover, the HAL is voice-compatible with Leviton lighting system, the GE security system and the HAI thermostat.

The Beam Bed, (so its called) illuminates your bed sorta like sun-rays coming out from the bottom.

I was thinking this might actually be great for movie effects but it may help brighten your room without actually brightening everything.

It’s a pretty simple concept with a big lamp in the center but this could be a great idea for your next DIY bed.  Just don’t blame us if you start a big fire.
