There are bunch of ready-made vinyl wall art you can buy and paste onto your wall but if you are thinking about making them from scratch, here’s a cool DIY on how to add vinyl wall art to your livingroom or bedroom.
Apartments, however, are usually a pain to paint and then paint to cover-up your awesome paint, and an especially big pain when you move around as often as I do.
I do like having bright, interesting spaces, so I was brainstorming on creating a large art piece that I could maybe mount on the wall, or other types of removable decor, and the universe smiled on my with inspiration from one of my favorite blogs: Nest did a neat post on using contact paper to make wall decals.
With contact paper as my medium, a Tim Burton-esque / Tokyo Plastic vision of swirls, and a hot afternoon (or AC busted that weekend with temps in the 90s!), I was ready to start doin’ some art!.

Check out this “Stink Tree” coffee table by Dylan Gold. I don’t know if you can store stuff in the tree, but it does look very unique and good fit for any livingroom.

Audio aficionados will love this one for the livingroom or even their bedroom. The Hive speakers were created from the wish to have a “wall of sound” when watching movies or listening to music. The speakers can be extended and pivoted independently, and can be used in digital surround systems.
The Donut Foot Rest is just what you need after a long day. Funky yet functional, the footrest consists of three parts: a 32″ wheel with a 16″ hole in the middle accommodating two 16d x 6H high poufs. The Foot Rest is squeezable and adheres to the principle of “playing, messing about on the floor, sitting, relaxing or as a decorative element in its own right.”

Partitions for walls are a great solution and help you to demarcate your living space. However most of them design wise they leave you cold. Fortunately the Helix Partition wall/ wall system doesn’t suffer from the same fate. It is made from rotating translucent resin panels, supported by stainless steel rods, plates and collars to give it a very trendy look. Designed by Marc Yeber, the metal is available in brushed or mirror finish.
Nola Star
1 Comment Published by Tanya March 25th, 2008 in BED FUN, Bed Designs, Bedroom, Livingroom. If you have enough hard cash and want to give your bedroom or livingroom a makeover then do take a look at what Nola Star is offering. It can moonlight as curtain, as wall paneling, as a room divider or as a transparent accent element in large and small rooms.
The basic module of Nola Star is a 0.5 mm strong plastic panel in a 20 x 20 cm format. The small plastic squares with rounded corners have wholes on all four sides through which they are easily connected with metal rings.
You thought only us humans were prone to meltdowns? Check out the Meltdown Chair, which was designed last year. The Chair is funky and a testament to the imagination of the designer!
The chair is created by heating and pressing a seat-shaped former into a stack of common plumbing tubes. The ends of the tubes melt and fuse together as they come into contact with the heated former leaving a pattern of irregular holes on the surface of the moulded seat.
VANGE to reveal a wooden fence-style partition

VANGE, a brand from Paris introduced this beautiful partition separator. With uniquely curved wooden planks made the partition looks natural and special. It’s good to have one in your room if your husband’s mini office is in the bedroom and you just can’t sleep with the lights while he’s burning the midnight oil. Or you can use it as a separator if you have a mini library in your room.
