For the people in need of fabricated or modified accessibility in their homes, here is an idea. Apparently some folks over in London commissioned some designers to provide a better access point over the old ladder. The product was a permanent staircase that carries a modern design pitch.

The designers made use of welded and painted steel, a steel post and toughened glass to come up with the Loft Access London.
