The Magnet Clock

When it comes to kitchen organization, rarely would you see kitchen knives that allow you to place them in the right places. But it seems that thanks to this Singular Block Knives design, adding a strong magnet can allow you to attach them anywhere and make sure that they are secure.

Aaron Root was charged by J.A. Henckles to create a unique way for people to purchase individual knives that would normally be part of a large block set. So, what he did was to break up the block. Each knife comes in its own block, magnets on either side, making it possible for the purchaser to collect then put them all together for their own unique block set.

This is sure not to get much attention but the fact remains that security and organization of dangerous kitchen paraphernalia as knives need to be in place.

Jenda Voice Calendar

I love this post as it  gives instructions on building a kid’s kitchen from an old entertainment center. Its easy, its fun and more importantly  its cheap!

“First we took off the two cabinet doors, removed the hardware, and covered them in silver contact paper ($10, Home Depot – one roll should be enough) to give it a stainless steel look. Then we moved the handle on one of the doors to open from the top (instead of the side) so it was more like an oven. Most entertainment centers have magnets on those doors, so you should not have an issue keeping the door closed. We used all the original hardware, so this was free.”

I can’t believe this is real. The flying beds are a reality now as it has been discovered two producers – illusionists Lago and scientists Universe Architecture. It can be rapidly assembled thanks to the wall fixing and central leg, creating the “floating effect”.

On the other hand, there is another flying bed, which should be called “magnetic floating bed” more correctly, was designed by Dutch architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars, who spent last 6 years trying to develop this wonder of science and he finally did it. The bed can carry up to 900 kilos and it simply floats on air on magnets. However, such bed is very expensive as the model alone costs 115,000 euros, while the bed itself might be around 1,200,000 euros.

I really would like to own one.
