Normally you would find benches or seats wrapped with some cloth to go with the expected comfy cushions but the Bench Medusa is perhaps exactly the opposite. Aside from having a sturdy metal frame, the Bench Medusa is capped with a cement-filled nylon fabric that makes gives it a feel of being hard as a rock.

The Bench Medusa was created by Erasmus Scherjon for the purpose of delivering a two-seated outdoor piece. On why it was called the Bench Medusa, just look back at some greek methology or watch Clash of the Titans to get an idea. This is of course with reference to people turning into stone once they take a gander at the fictional titan!

For the people who are looking for some old styled chairs, here is one retro-styled chair for you. It is called the Cherner Chair, a piece originally designed in 1958 by orman Cherner which has gotten an update when re-released recently.

The Cherner Chairs are made out of Red Gum wood, carrying a symbolism of molded plywood furniture from where it actually originated. The Cherner Chair designs are available in a number of versions: armchair, side chair, bar stool, metal-frame chair and the task chair.

Here is another crazy sofa to add to your list of wacky concepts designed for some particular use. This time around, we have the Spider Phoebe Sofa. As the name connotes, it is shaped like a spider which even comes with a bonus workstation for all the computer geeks there for their computing needs.

Designed by Zuogang Wu, this sofa sofa features fabric upholstery that covers foam atop a metal frame. The legs are movable so that they can be shaped to suit the owner. From my angle, it looks like this sofa is quite customizable, with reference of course to the desired position that you should be in when it comes to rest or for actual computing.

Spider Phoebe Sofa

We’re always updating our website and making sure we provide the best service to our customers. Maintaining our products is key to ensure we keep out customers updated and while updating our products we discovered that the Joseph Anica is to be discontinued.

It’s a rather unique looking bed with a silver metal frame and white head end, it’s pretty slick and modern and there aren’t that many similar beds around, which makes it a real shame.

Saying that, we had a good look at our entire product range and found some similar looking beds to suggest to our customers. Joseph actually do similar beds and the Joseph Kava has the same modern style with a silver metal frame but features a dark head end.

If the darker wood doesn’t suit your bedroom, you may like the Joseph Arizona with its silver metal frame and black base.

You may also be interested in the Hyder Manhattan, although it doesn’t have the extra head detailing, it has a modern silver frame and a simple but contemporary design.

This new iron bed has a romantic twist to it, made up of a beautifully scalloped bed that makes iron beds up to date with the latest fad in the 21st century. Inspired by the aura of a woman, this bed offers a mixture of class and elegance that will surely be something to place in your room.

Reeves wanted to design and manufacture an iron bed for Feather & Black that would utilise the skill base and technologies available locally in Vietnam. Cast from wooden moulds created by hand the bed is finished to the highest quality by local craftsmen. Roughly sand cast, all impurities of the bespoke bed are left visible, adding beauty and individuality to each piece. Though polishing by hand is labour intensive, the raw and tactile finish of the metal frame bed is what makes it unique.
