Practically anyone would love to have breakfast in bed although there may be limitations depending on the type of breakfast tray that will be used. But thanks to clever design by Stefan Otzelberger called the hotspot/breakfast, you practically get a pretty pampered way of living the good life if you are still too lazy to get up. The whole set consists of a kettle, a toaster, and even an Espresso machine, all capped with a hands-free concept based on carbon nanotubes (CNT) integrated in the plastic so that parts of the body itself become a heating element and therefore function very energy-efficiently. Power is solicited through the base, making use of the same methodology to which electric kettles thrive on. The setup is a fully functional breakfast tray with components like a toaster, a kettle and an espresso pot; all designed with a classic touch. Via A Modern Breakfast in Bed Solution

For most of us, pillows are normally known to provide comfort and aid in sleep. But thanks to some dandy ideas from the people behind the Willow Collection, here are some neat ideas that make pillows look like they can be used in lieu of actual flower pots. Each of these plush planter pillows were made with quality textile materials and at different colors too. The fabrics are waterproof and the bottom of each pillow makes sure that surfaces to which they would be placed are pretty much dry. Beneath these pillow planters are sufficient area for plant roots to develop. Each pot is removable as well to make it easy to clean and reconfigure, depending on what a person would want. With Studio Libel’s pillow pots, you can create a unique indoor garden in your apartment, or give the throws as a surprising gift in lieu boring bouquets of flowers.
Ever wanted a cool lamp you can stick pictures and other stuff on? Well, Kate over at Design Sponge shows you how to make one from scratch. ever since i saw one on a bedside table in domino magazine, i have been in love with and searching for vintage cork lamps. they are hard to find though, and often pretty expensive, so i finally decided to try to make one! i was looking for bases that had a nice modern shape, and surprisingly i found them both at ikea, in the form of a garden pot (upside down) and two cutlery drying caddies taped together! you could really use any base you wanted, as long as you can drill a hole in the top for the lamp kit.
