Somewhere in the future, public benches may look like these. Though they seem more like round Rubiks cubes, the concept behind these Public Lounge benches does seem neat, offering a combination of aesthetics as well as functionality of the futuristic kind.

The Public Lounge is a concept seating solution designed by Indre Anceviciute, something that should easily fit in with the changing time as far as aesthetic designs are concerned. The irregular shapes of the rounded recliners allow them to be oriented in any which way, even offering weary elderly walkers a rare outdoor rocking chair. This particular arrangement exposes the softly concave inner shell of the larger lime green globe, rounding out remarkably ergonomic places to relax.

I like this concept of where you go, your chair follows! This foldable cardboard stool can carry a person who is up to 90 kg (that’s roughly 180 lbs)and provides respite from those dirty public benches! According to the manufacturer no glues and chemicals are used to set up the stool.

This is a great way to carry a portable chair with you everywhere as it doesn’t weight that much and also saves the environment over portable steel chairs and whatnot.  What a great idea, I want one.

Chair made out of Newspapers!

A student has designed the most eco-friendly chair ever made out of newspapers.

This stylish piece of furniture is actually filled with dozens of newspapers to support the weight of anyone willing to sit on it.

Although the chair itself looks very uncomfortable, it seems to have a ton of uses such as replacing steel/wood public benches.

Even better, they should leave a little room where people can stick their newspaper after they are done reading it.
