For the people who can’t seem to find their way to their beds for one reason or another, here is a solution that should really make you all the lazier. The new creation is a solution from Panasonic, the Panasonic Robotic Beds. They can change from a static bed to a wheelchair and vice versa, which should be ideal for people with mobility problems.

The canopy is fitted with a television and plugs into the home network so you can control home appliances and view security cameras. The Robotic Bed will be unveiled for the first time at the Tokyo Big Sight show on September 29th.

Panasonic Robotic Beds

Many call it going a bit overboard but some say it is about improving home security especially due to the rampant increase of break-ins and burglaries most people are encountering these days. Apparently a simple installation of video cameras in certain parts of the home has been a common practice.

Some home owners install spy cams in places like the following:

1. Front Door
2. Front Gate
3. Back Door
4. Garage
5. Receiving area

If you will notice, most of these are the entry points to a home. You don’t really have to put spy cams on places like the living room or bedrooms since that would really be going a bit overboard. The case would be different though if you would want to monitor the activities of hired help.

So are spy cams a need. Depending on your status and neighborhood, they can be good security improvements for sure. It all depends if you have a purpose of having one. But if you are just installing them because you want to get in with the times, it is not really recommended.
