According to Prof. Yael Letzer, Dr. Tamar Shohat and Prof. Orna Chishinsky of the Jezreel Valley College in Israel, putting a television in a teens room is not a great idea. A study conducted on 444 middle-school pupils proved that those with personal televisions’ slept less and ate more than those without. “The average bedtime of those studied was 23:04 p.m., and the average time slept was seven hours and 41 minutes. On weekends, the average bedtime was 1:45 p.m., with the average time slept increasing to nine hours and 45 minutes. Those with personal TVs went to sleep half an hour later but woke up at the same time.” Via Jpost Teens with Personal TVs Sleep Less

During breaks and vacations, people would love to spend a lot time outside their homes, enjoying the bright sunlight and perhaps hold a great barbecue for the family and friends. To act as a source of entertainment while enjoying the open air, adding a television while you are out there would be nice. But some people put emphasis on living in style. This includes backyards where modern appliances such as this SunBriteTV LCD television can really put an exclamation point in trendy fashion and style. A bit hefty at $1,995, the SunBrite TV LCD television features an all-weather enclosure that protects sensitive components from rain, dirt, insects and scratches. At least this way, you will not have to be worried about damaging it when you place it at your backyard. (Source) Silive.com LCD Televisions for the Modern Backyard

Teens who hardly ever get more than 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night, might need to do a little bedroom readjustment. Apparently, it seems that electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, computers and televisions, are a major reason to the lack of sleep among teenagers. As such, the isolation of these devices from a teen’s bedroom would be quite integral to the regulation of a teenager’s sleep pattern.
