For the launch of this newest line of lighting fixtures, Jayne-Young has collected over one hundred pots from around the world. Each treasure is an authentic working pot and was handcrafted during the 1800s and 1900s. Before the transformation into a beautiful light fixture begins, each pot is registered, issued a Certificate of Authenticity, and fixed with an identification number and description plate.
When transforming the pot into a fixture, the employees at Jayne-Young follow three rules:
- Covet the “natural patina” finish only time and use can create;
- Use traditional tools and techniques whenever possible;
- Be sure that the suspension always complements the pot.
Each antique jewel arrives in a custom wood crate and includes the story behind the pot. Jayne-Young prides itself on being the definitive recycler as well as a bridge for people of today to stay connected to families of the past.
