Solar Vertical Lamps By Night

by brian yalung on Friday, November 14th, 2008

They are blinds by day and lamps by night. This is what best typifies this design brought to us by Korean designers Yoon-Hui Kim and Eun-Kyung. During the daytime, we all hate the sunlight and as an alternative to curtains, blinds are being used by most homes.

Now while the shutters are closed, little solar pads are installed at the blinds facing the sun thus soliciting solar power energy for the Solar Vertical Lamps. Once night time comes, simply switch on these vertical lamps, fully charged and without the need to plug them to any outlet.

They can be ideal mood lights for people once the evening sets in with no additional energy costs to worry about.
